Sales from AbeBooks, Alibris, Amazon, Biblio and eBay arrive next to your website and in-person orders, with the buyer's details attached. Ship from the same screen and the venue is told.
The return leg
Orders come to you
Connect a venue once and its orders download into BookRouter on a schedule, alongside the sales from your own website and the ones you make in person. AbeBooks, Amazon, Biblio and eBay send them straight through. Alibris does too, once EDI Lite is switched on for your account.
The buyer's name and address come with the order wherever the venue releases them. Some venues mask the email behind a relay address, and BookRouter shows you that rather than pretending it has something it does not.
One update, not three
Mark it shipped once
Change the status on the order, or buy a label, and BookRouter tells the venue. The tracking number goes with it. Nobody types the same tracking number into a second system.
Ship an order inside Amazon or eBay instead and BookRouter picks it up on the next sweep. The other venues hand us a list of new orders rather than a running status feed, so you update those here as you work them.

Where the venues draw the line
Every marketplace opens up a different amount of its order system. This is the honest version, and where the limit is somebody else's we say so.
Most, but not all
AbeBooks, Alibris and Biblio accept a cancellation from BookRouter. Amazon and eBay keep seller cancellations inside Seller Central and Seller Hub, so cancel there and record it here. BookRouter says as much in the dialog rather than pretending the message went out.
AbeBooks and Biblio
Both allow a refund to be raised from outside their own dashboard, so BookRouter offers it on those orders. Alibris, Amazon and eBay keep refunds in their own systems, and those have to be issued there.
Ours, with one exception
BookRouter prints a packing slip for any order, marketplace or website. Alibris is the exception: they require their own slip, so use theirs on Alibris orders.
Labels
Buy the label from the order
Rates come back live from USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL Express, Media Mail included. Pick one, buy it, and the label prints as a PDF with the tracking number recorded against the order.
Weights are the thing most shops have never filled in, so BookRouter falls back to a default weight you set, and lets you correct it in the buy window before you commit. There is no monthly fee and no contract. You pay for the postage.
Across a border
Customs paperwork built from the order
The declaration is built from what is already in the order, carrying your IOSS, VAT or EORI numbers where you have them, and filing an ITN when the value calls for one. You choose per label whether the duty is prepaid or collected on delivery.
USPS cannot prepay duty at all. That is postal policy and not a limit in BookRouter. FedEx, UPS and DHL Express can, and when a carrier that should offer it drops out of your rate list, it usually means your own account with them is not enabled for duty billing.
